Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9th, 1976 from Beaumont Puy in Domme. Her parents, who are a dental doctor and teacher in a school were supportive and encouraged by her passion for acting and theater. Her initial dream to be a monkey expert was replaced by a desire to study theater and drama. Her fame grew as a child actress quickly and with great popularity and success. Before she began to pursue her acting career, she participated in Jeunes Premiers a French show on TV that focuses on talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of the title of Best Young Actress for her performance in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, was a churchgoer in her youth and was educated Catholic. But she has now distanced herself with the Catholic tradition. Alongside her acting career, Tautou has also been a model and the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. A keen photographer, she created a show at The Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big role in Le Fabuleux Destin in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie received international acclai box office success and was acclaimed at awards ceremonies across the globe. It remains the highest grossing French language film to date in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in many films from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday of fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
