Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known Ashanti. Ashanti was birthed October 13 1980, on the shores of Glen Cove New York United States. She's an actress and singer who hails from her native United States. Ashanti began her career when she was a teenager then was eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. The same year she also made an appearance in Fat Joe's What's Luv? Ja Rule's song, Always on Time as well as Fat Joe's What's Luv? The moment she dropped her single, What's Luv, at number two at the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at number one and Foolish being her first single, she was the only female artist to accomplish this feat. The song What's Luv! Let's celebrate the special occasion by celebrating it together. Ashanti Shequoiya is also known as Ashanti and was born on thirteenth October 1980 in Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas her mother is a former dance teacher and Ken-Kaide Thomas Douglas is her father. is a singer from the past. The Kenashia Shia family is their youngest sibling. Douglas chose the name Ashanti in honor of the Ashanti Empire in which women had control and power. Douglas hoped Ashanti would be like this. The actress has appeared in the films Christmas in the City as in Army Wives. Her track Rock wit U was sampled by British artist Aitch to record his song Baby on March 10 2022.
