Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14 in 1980) is an American actor, singer and dancer. Some of her early Broadway shows include Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She was awarded her Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a Play in the role of Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley is a Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with actors and directors both on screen and stage for the entirety of her professional career. Ashford can be seen next in the role of Kumail Nanjiani, on Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It debuts on the 22nd November. Ashford is currently in the making for Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust starring Sarah Paulson. The film is it is a Hulu Original, the film will be a part of Disney DTC's platform. Ashford's Broadway comeback will be on March 20, 2023. He plays alongside Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), exactly the same group that produced Hamilton directed the production. Ashford's last performance was Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on a nationwide scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. Two seasons ago, Ashford was a star of CBS's hit series B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also had Ben Vereen and Elizondo.
